1. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information from readers. This site is a content publication; there is no account system, no email signup form collecting data, and no user-generated content.

2. Analytics

We measure traffic with GoatCounter, self-hosted on the same server that serves this site. It is configured for privacy by design:

• No cookies. Nothing is written to or read from your device, so no consent banner is required.
• No visitor profiles, no stored IP addresses. Pageviews are recorded as anonymous hourly and daily aggregates — there is no per-visitor record and no cross-session identifier. An IP address is used only in memory to derive the country, and is never written to the analytics database.
• What is recorded: the page path and title, the referring site, browser family, operating system, country, and screen width.
• No third parties. The measurement script is served from this domain (/count.js) and the data is sent back to this same domain. Nothing is shared with an external analytics provider.
• Bots are excluded. Known crawlers and automated vulnerability scanners are filtered out and are not counted as pageviews.

Separately, server logs record standard request metadata (IP address, user agent) for operational security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a short period and are not shared with third parties.

3. Advertising

We display advertising through Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies (including DoubleClick) to serve ads based on your prior visits and interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Learn more about Google's use of data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
